Yes, I did clean the fans using a vacuum. I should clarify that in my last post, when I say I replaced the PSU, I mean I replaced the PSU with a different one (vs. just taking the old one out, cleaning, and putting it back in).

Thank you for the additional information.
This will not hurt the computer. Another option would be to turn off the computer when you are not using it. I know there are different theories on this, but I have been turning off my computers for 20+ years with no premature component failure.
