Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I need help of knowing what to hook up in my motherboard. Its obvious to me for the PSU cables, but the front panel cables are troubling when trying to put a differnt motherboard in. I am trying to put a msi 760gma p34 motherboard in but the cables are completely different, it almost seems. These boards also seem to be around the sametime but I dont think that matters since its just the computer case CABLES I'm having trouble with. I also cannot find any manuals or anything for hooking this thing up or even for my motherboard as I have tried to compare where you put the pins in so I can get an idea of where I would hook all the things from the front panel. I also forgot to mention that the cords that I am mentioning are for the front usb and mic audio and power and such.

Hello;

Allow me to welcome you to the HP forums!

As you probably know, the front cables pin sequence is unique to each make and model motherboard.

For that information on this board, you would have to go to the MSI site and see if they have a downloadable schematic.

However, if you're talking about board jacks for stuff like USB ports and/or memory card ports, built into the case -- those are probably NOT going to work with the MSI motherboard because it will not have the same connectors as the one built for HP for your PC.

Good Luck

Thank you. Also I have another question, since I was having trouble hooking this up and had no idea before I asked, I have tried to start it up with the 760gma motherboard with the audio and power button cables and when I tried to start it the led turned blue then turned right off and so I tried to turn it on again and it sparks a little by the led power cable, I s my motherboard ok?
