Hi @Moris50,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

I Understand your concern about the computer doesn’t start up the way you expect, don’t worry let me help you with this.

To better understand the issue, could you please provide a few more details?

  • Do you see text like “Press ESC for Startup Menu” or detailed BIOS information?
  • Has this change happened suddenly, or after a recent update or hardware change?
  • Does the system still boot into Windows normally after showing the BIOS screen?

Here are a few steps you can try in the meantime:

  1. Check BIOS settings: Restart your PC and press F10 (on most HP systems) to enter BIOS Setup. Look for an option called Show HP Logo or Quiet Boot and make sure it’s enabled.
  2. Reset BIOS to defaults: Inside BIOS Setup, you can usually find an option to Restore Defaults. This often brings back the logo at startup.
  3. Update BIOS: Sometimes a BIOS update can resolve display issues. You can download the latest BIOS update for your model from HP’s support website https://support.hp.com/  .

I hope this helps.

Hi @Moris50,

Thanks for your response.

I understand how concerning it can feel when your PC doesn’t show the familiar HP logo at startup. Thank you for sharing the details  since the system still boots normally, this usually points to a minor BIOS or firmware setting rather than a serious hardware issue. Let’s walk through a few steps together to help restore the expected startup behaviour:

  1. Check BIOS Settings
    • Restart your PC and press F10 repeatedly as soon as it powers on to enter the BIOS setup.
    • Look for options like “Show HP Logo” or “Quiet Boot”. If disabled, enable them and save changes.
  2. Update BIOS/Firmware
    • Visit the https://support.hp.com/  and enter your product model.
    • Download and install the latest BIOS update. This can often resolve display quirks at startup.
  3. Reset BIOS to Default
    • Inside BIOS setup, choose “Restore Defaults” or “Load Setup Defaults”.
    • Save and exit. This resets any accidental changes that might have hidden the logo.
  4. Check Fast Boot Settings in Windows
    • Go to Control Panel > Power Options > Choose what the power buttons do.
    • Ensure Fast Startup is enabled. Sometimes disabling it can cause BIOS information to appear instead of the logo.
  5. Run HP Hardware Diagnostics
  • Restart your PC and press F2 to open HP PC Hardware Diagnostics.
  • Run a quick system test to confirm everything is functioning properly

I hope this helps.
