Need to reset a BIOS password.

Hi, I bought a laptop but there is a BIOS password and I can not use BIOS Settings.
serial :[removed per Rules Of Participation]
product : WY546AV
Can anyone help me to open the BIOS password please ?

Hi,

 

The security on business class machine is far more stringent than on consumer models - a smc file is the option you need to persue.

 

You can contact HP Business Support in your country via

or

 

https://support.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp

 

If your country is not on the list, it may be worth trying the US site and see if theyare able to help with supplying a SMC, or contact the company who sold you the machine to see if they have any record of the password.

 

Unfortunately, the only other option would be to replace the bios chip.
