@OLDER_MAN,

Everyone, including me, wants some interaction. No one has ever posted pictures. (1) Rear chassis at PSU screws, (2) several internal views. This would really help the community.  Now for more questions and answers.

Computer          internal parts

RAM: matching pairs prevent timing issues.  Get the same 8 GB module for the second slot, or buy a set 16GB    32GB

Replacing the M.2 SSD  you must use NVMe type as that is what is currently in your system. It has a single slot key. Comes in 500 GB   or  1 TB

Final question: That PSu is the L64961-800.  After you remove the power cord from the unit, and open the side panel, can you trace out all the cabling from the PSU.  Please verify:

1) Two 2x2 power plugs (CPU and ATX power)

2) inline 7 pin plug which only has 3 wires.

3) number of SATA power plugs on the cable that connects the DVD and hard drive to the motherboard.  Is the motherboard plug 2x3 or 2x4?

Yes, you can add 3.5" HDD to your machine. If you wish to use SSD which normally uses 2.5" form factor you need something sorts of adapter to keep SSD lining up with screws/ holes for example

The following model has BOTH M.2 SSD and HDD

Thank you. This particular motherboard has these expansion slots:

  • One PCIe x16 socket
  • One PCIe x1 socket
  • One M.2 socket 1, key A
  • One M.2 socket 3, key M for SSD (PCIe x4)

Which one is currently occupied by the 256 GB PCIe® NVMe™ M.2 SSD? And which one would I add a second SSD to?

Which one to add a SATA HDD?

Thanks

hello i just answer for the question

as mentioned
One M.2 socket 3, key M for SSD (PCIe x4)
SSD M2
One M.2 socket 1, key A
there it is for a wifi card, most certainly used!
so it will be a classic SATA SSD
