I have an HP 45L Omen Desktop (Intel). I have already added one (1) Samsung 8TB SSD. So I now have the factory-supplied 2TB SSD and the Samsung 8TB SSD.
I would like to add more SATA drives (SSD and HD)
The 45L does not appear to come with more cables to support more drives (power and SATA).
Q1 - Can I add two 3.5 SATA drives? (bays are currently empty)
Q2 - Has anyone purchased additional cables? Is there a correct type of SATA cable? (2.5 / 3x)
Q3 - How many open ports remain on the 45L Intel Mother Board
Q4 - Is it possible to have 3 SSDs and 2 HD in one system?
Thanks for any help / answers that can be provided.

There are several 45L Ullman motherboards some are AMD, others Intel.
This Intel board shows 4 SATA connectors and sockets for 2 M.2 type NVME drives.
See if it matches yours.
If your motherboard has eight SATA connectors, it is possible that adding a pair of NVME will cause two of the 8 SATA to be disabled. This should not be a problem with a 4 SATA motherboard.
You can obtain both straight and right angle SATA cables and also low profile. If you do not have enough power adapters then you can get a splitter or Y cable.

This response is very helpful. I have to power down today and see what type of motherboard is in the case. Once I assess, I will order cables as necessary and install drives.
As a point of clarification, the two SSDs are 2 TB and 8 TB.
The 2 TB came with the computer. My guess is that it is SATA.
I purchased the 8 TB from Amazon. Samsung Q70. It's a SATA (not NVME) drive.
I will post again. Thank you.
