Hello all,
Hello all
Thank you for providing this resource.
Bought used. One 4 GB Memory card. I removed it and placed 4 8GB Memory cards. Would not boot. Please advise or direct me to how-to.
I will seek instruction on installing a solid state drive as the c: drive, removing the existing HD and installing two others for storage only.

@James-Osbourne Welcome to HP Community!
I understand that the laptop will not boot after installing the 4GB memory card.
Your computer supports only DDR 3 DIMM.
Please make sure that you have purchased the correct one and installed it on your computer.
Please remove the new memory card and check for the issue.
Your product will not support SSD.
Please see the specification of your computer.
I hope that answers your query,
