90D overheat on new system M01-F1024

I have two of these systems.  One gave me a 90D error at some point.  So I installed Hwinfo and comparing the two systems.  Once has a temp sensor 1 for the 87D6 device is reading 81C whereas it brother is reading ....  But not sure if these readings are valid as they never change and the reported fan speeds are wrong.

GPU and CPU temps are in the 30s which seem ok.  Is there any HP diag software to get HWinfo that will work correctly?

The BIOS info on thermals only reports fan speed which is odd but the stable unit is reporting 600 rpm and the loud unit is reporting 300s.  So even this does not match the sound of the fans.

Thinking of just repasting the APU...  But though I would reach out first.

So I reset the OS.  No change.

Reset the Bios to default.  No change.

Reset the bios by battery removal.  Change!

After I hard reset the BIOS the fan issue went away.  So not sure if the bios is performing a rolling average or just seeing more temp and it stores a "default fan speed" based on your use case...  not sure.   But that made a change.

I will repost with the reported fan speeds in the bios.

After clearing the bios with battery removal.  RPM of fans now show 600 rpm at idle and are normal loudness.
