HP Pavilion All-in-One - 23-q014
macOS 10.15 Catalina

Hello,

I'd like to ask what options do I have to upgrade my WiFi and Bluetooth card. I have tried to Google and check with Newegg but there is very limited information about Crusher-U motherboard compatibility parts. The motherboard has M2 slot for expansion, does that mean any other M2 slot network card would work? Specifically, I'm thinking of buying BCM943602CS.

FYI, I upgraded my device to Intel Core i7-4785T (Haswell) 2.2 GHz Quad Core and 16GB RAM. Thank you very much in advance.

Hi:

You would have to open up the PC and see how many antenna cables are connected to the wifi card in there now.

You would only be able to upgrade the internal card if your PC has two antenna cables connected to the card.

If your PC has two antenna cables connected to the wifi card, I would upgrade to this model, since your PC has an Intel core processor.

It has the same specs as the Broadcom M.2 card you are interested in.

Below is the link to the service manual.  There is no procedure to remove and replace the wifi card, but it will help you open up the PC.

Hi Paul,

Thank you very much for your response. I opened my computer to check and there is only one antenna cable attached to the wireless card even though there are two of them. I'll figure it out, it doesn't look too difficult for me to install another one. Again, thanks for your answer.

You're very welcome.

That is great news.

So, you attach the cable that is currently connected to your wifi card, to the Main terminal of the 9260, and the unused cable to the other terminal on the 9260.
