Hi:
The memory in the dv6 will not fit in the15-cs2082tx.
dv6 notebooks use DDR3-1333 memory that runs at 1.5V and the 15-cs2082tx uses DDR4-2400 memory that runs at 1.2V.
There are a different number of contact pins and the slot in the memory is cut in a different place making it impossible to fit it in the slot.

You're very welcome.
Yes, you can simply add another 4 GB memory chip to the notebook and have 8 GB.
Your notebook can support more memory than 8 GB, so you may want to consider adding more than a 4 GB chip to the notebook.
You can also use DDR4-2666 or DDR4-3200 memory if it costs less.
The faster memory will automatically bridge to 2400 MHz.

No additional software/change of BIOS settings is required.
Just install the new memory and it should automatically work if you buy compatible memory for your notebook.
