HP All in One 22 b013w
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello, I'm hoping someone can help me as there is no way to contact HP 😕   I have a HP All in One 22 b013w that currently has 4GB of RAM. I need to upgrade it to 8GB (the max for this computer). I purchased a Crucial 4GB DDR3L-1600 SODIMM 1.35V CL11 RAM card to install. I installed the RAM and then when I turned on the computer, I could hear it turn on, but nothing was showing up on the monitor. I re-checked the installation to make sure it was seeded correctly and tried again...same thing. So I removed the new RAM and then the computer worked as it always has. So, my question is did I purchase RAM that is not compatible with this computer? Can I just purchase another RAM card that is exactly the same as the one I just purchased and put them both in or exchange the one I just purchased for one that will work with the one already in my computer??? I'm stuck and bummed. I can't run more than one program without it telling me I'm out of RAM.  Ugh

@Zephyrah , welcome to the forum.

Here is the memory that Crucial Memory recommends for your computer.  It appears that the memory you purchased is compatible.  Now, the question is, is it compatible with the existing memory?  I suggest installing CUP-Z to check the memory that came with the computer.  The information that you will need is in the "SPD" tab in the app.  Once you have this information, you should contact Crucial's Tech Support to see what they say.  They are the experts on their memory and will be able to tell you what is the best thing to do.  This will save you time, money and frustration!
