hp pavilion gaming tg01-0000 nv amd ryzen 5-3500u / 8gb / 128gb ssd / 1tb hdd / geforce gtx 1650 4g
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

So I have recently bought an hp gaming pavilion desktop, the product is amazing for its price, however I have been thinking about upgrading the GPU into an gtx 1660 ti or an rtx 2060 or even rtx 2070 however when I looked up the specs of the motherboard I didn't find any information if I could upgread the GPU. So my question is: am I able to upgread my GPU to the mention ones?

Hi,

Yes, it is possible to upgrade the GPU to an RTX 2070 or RTX 2060 if you desire.

Just make sure your power supply has sufficient wattage to power your new GPU that you want to buy, and it has at least one 6+2 PCIe connector or you won't be able to plug in your card. You need a 500W PSU for a GTX 1660 Ti, and a 600W unit for an RTX 2060. An RTX 2070 might be bottlenecked by your Ryzen 5 3500, unless you are upgrading your CPU.

While you are upgrading your GPU, it would be a good idea to upgrade your RAM from 8GB to 16GB to avoid bottlenecks.

I hope this helped.

@PanosL,

You did not state the exact model number of the HP TG01......I know your not embarrassed ?

HP has proprietary PSU units. Here is a spreadsheet showing some of the variations of the HP TG01 series.  The TG01-0500nd specs should interest you, as it covers the 2060 Super.  This is a stock configuration.

Although I created this grid, I did a lot of research.  If you make the upgrade, please list your model# , PSU , and GPU upgrade so I can update it (the green "X" reflects info I get from others like you).
