I just came back from a Best Buy store. I was told by HP support that I could bring my computer there for service. I have been trying to add 2 additional 8 gig RAM modules to the original 2 8s in the machine and have not been able to do that. It is my understanding that the HP Envy 34 inch AIO can accommodate up to 128 gig of RAM, so adding another 16 should not be an issue. I have been in touch with HP support on a number of occasions and have received various explanations for why I can't add more RAM, but no help with telling me how I CAN add more. I've purchased RAM from various sources, including an authorized HP dealer. When I put the new RAM into the first slots, they work, as soon as I add RAM to the second set of slots, I get beep errors. The most recent interaction with support had me lugging this very heavy piece of machinery to my local Best Buy where I was told that even though the machine is under warranty, they don't honor it, and they would charge $179 to do a "diagnostic" on what might be the problem. My level of frustration and anger does not come close to the level of disappointment I feel in HP as a company and in what is otherwise a good product. I have owned many computers and never had an issue upgrading RAM when I saw the need after making the initial computer purchase. That I cannot add RAM to this machine is absolutely RIDICULOUS and a very poor stain on HP and it's reputation as a computer manufacturer. Add to that the run-around style of "technical support" and you have a formula for negative customer feelings and ultimately no interest in making an HP purchase ever again. I have no idea if anyone at HP will pay attention to this post or if it will be ignored, but considering the lack of help I've received with my issue I assume it will be ignored. In the meantime, if anyone has had any luck adding additional RAM to their Envy 34 inch AIO, I'd love to hear what worked. I don't hold any hope for HP support to bring me any resolution whatsoever.

From everything I have read, 64GB is the maximum that people have been able to successfully upgrade to.
