I downloaded and attempted to install the most current BIOS. The System goes through the process and "appears" to work. When completed and it automatically reboot, it does not display the new BIOS number but continues to display the old BIOS number. Does anyone have any clues on what is happening?

some systems which have a early bios revision require a interim bios update befor the latest bios can be installed this is allways documented in the description/changes file that hp posts, and included with each bios revision (which nobody bothers to read)

Hi Mike,
DGroves is suggesting you should update to BIOS v02.99 before updating the BIOS to v03.xx.
The BIOS update to v03.07 will fail because you have BIOS v02.09.
Please try this?

Please note!
I started with BIOS Version: 2.09
I tried loading BIOS Version: 3.07 five times.
As suggested, I went to the Web Site indicated, the same Site I tried the 3.07 downloads from.
I downloaded 2.09 to a CD on a different PC.
I took the CD to the one needing the BIOS Update and ran it.
Things went great, as usual, until the Re-Boot where the PC indicates the BIOS Version.
It was still Version 2.09!
I will attach a snip of what my download options are.
