Hi,
I recently acquired a used 2006-era HP Media Center m7467c PC. It has a P5LP-LE rev 1.05 mainboard. The installed BIOS revision is 3.15, and I'd like to update it to the latest available for this board. The problem is that I can't find the information on the HP site for this product.
First, I enter the serial number of the PC, and the website finds several references. It then asks for the Product Number. BUT there is no product number on the PC. On the sticker with the serial number, there is however a "System Number" ER881AA-ABA. I've tried entering this (with and without -ABA) in place of the Product Number, but either way it fails. So I'm unable to proceed further to get a BIOS update. I'd like to get it from the HP site rather than a third party site.
What can I do without a Product Number? Thanks for any help.

the sp26837 bios v3.17 i referenced covers the entire 7xxx series, using the P5LP-LE motherboard
if you read the included documentation hp includes with the sp i belive it mentions this
anyway here is the bios, i tested the DL link and it does work

hp only supports/keeps files available on their servers for 10 years as your system is older than that you will have to search elsewhere for a possible bios update if it exists

i do know you want SP26837.exe (bios 3.17)

Thank you very much, I appreciate your help. I'll look into getting that file in the coming days. There is a lot to do with this machine as there are many issues, and the BIOS isn't the first priority as it's working, but I do want to upgrade it at the right point.. Thanks again!

Well, I took a quick look at the SoftPedia link. It tries to do the download by ftp from ftp.hp.com, and it fails. I went in with an ftp program, changed to the right directory, and the file is not there. Probably because it's > 10 years old.
So I searched for the file SP26837.exe and found it on DriverGuide.com. However, it says that file is for the m7567c. Note that the second digit is a 5, not a 4 as it should be. So I searched at DriverGuide for m7467c, and it says to use the file sp26950.exe. I have downloaded that. Hopefully it is the right one, and will flash with Windows 7. I will have to research it a bit more later, and try to flash if advisable, and hopefully report back here.

Thank you again! I've downloaded the sp26837.exe now too. As I'm not normally on Windows (only use it to flash BIOSes really) I hadn't been able to see the documentation yet, but will definitely look at it. That should confirm the BIOS version number as well I expect.

I followed a couple of other leads for possible BIOSs, but they were dead ends. Also took a more careful look at DriverGuide and it does list the m7467c as a target for sp26837.exe. So I am convinced this is the right BIOS. I have yet to flash, but will mark this as solved. If for some reason there is a problem when flashing I'll update here. Thank you again DGroves, your advice was spot-on.
