@Vishal_Pal, Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
If you're experiencing battery life issues with a new HP laptop, there are a few steps you can take to diagnose and potentially resolve the issue:
Check Battery Health: HP laptops come with tools like HP Support Assistant that help monitor the health of the battery. You can run the "Battery Check" feature in HP Support Assistant to see if the battery is functioning properly.
Limit Background Activity: Check for background processes and applications that may be consuming battery. You can use the Task Manager to view and end unnecessary tasks.
Adjust Power Settings: Ensure your power settings are optimized for battery life. You can adjust these settings under "Power & sleep settings" in Windows.
Check Battery Settings: Ensure that your battery settings are optimized for better performance. Go to "Settings" > "System" > "Battery" and make sure options like "Battery Saver" are enabled.
BIOS and Driver Updates: Ensure that your BIOS and system drivers are up-to-date. You can find updates through HP Support Assistant or directly on the HP support website.
Calibration: Sometimes, calibrating the battery can help. Fully charge the battery, let it deplete completely, and then charge it fully again.
I hope this helps.
Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.
Take care and have a good day.
