Good morning, on the HP download deriver web page I find an update for the bios of my pc but the Support Assistent program does not offer it to me: Do I have to download it manually? thanks

If you examine the version details of the update and what is modifying and if you are having those problems, then you can manually download and install.  If the PC is working and there are no problems, I would suggest that you leave it alone until the Support Assistant recommends an update.  I am "OLD school" and say "If it is working, then why bother in "Fixing" it"

The Support Assistant may not recommend the update because it does not really do that much.

Thanks for the reply. This is the second BIOS update that I am not offered to Support Assistent (also in January 2020) so I thought about a problem with my pc (or motherboard) because it seems unusual to lose two updates. Do you turn out to be normal behavior? Thanks

I would be curious to know the BIOS version installed.

Please post that info.  It would be helpful.

If you go to that page that the screenshot is from, note that the Revision history lists only one version older that I can find.

I do not know how the Support Assistant software works, but I suspect it did not recommend the update because of only a minor issue that was resolved.

You can update the BIOS if you wish manually, but like I said before, "if it ain't broke, why fix it?"  It does not make any security updates and only solves a minor issue, and if you are not having that issue, then no help at all.
