did you try to update the bios or enable the bios recovery jumper?
if so you may have trashed your bios and added yet another problem
if the system boots, (no video)
pwr off, remove video card from system)
pwr on, follow directions below
On power up Press F10 and wait a 30 second for the SATA/SAS initialisation.
Press 4 times the right arrow key (this will position you on the Advanced menu)
Press 7 times the down key (this will position you on the slot2 Pcie2 x16)
Press Enter (this wil open the slot2 Pcie2 x16 option)
Press 1 time the down arrow key (this will position you on the Slot2 Compute option)
Press 1 time the right arrow key (this will set the option to disable (if it's enabled))
Press F10 (this will close the option windows)
Press F10 (this will position you on the "Save change and Exit")
Press Enter (and the Z station will reboot).
the videocard in the Slot2 should now have video,
enter bios and disable compute for other slots

Yes I know this workaround (im the guy who make the original post with the blind setup 2 years ago.)
I just wanted to help Cho64093 with its Z640 but apparently the sequence of bios is not the same and I do not have Z640.
Thank you for your time.
