HP 260 G3 DM
Linux

Hello, is there any way, how to managed CPU FAN speed on the HP 260 G3 under Linux (Debian)? The fan is too loud in IDLE. The CPU has about 27°C and FAN has still 1500 RPM. When I unpluged the FAN temperature rises to 37°C (this is still OK) and the room is quiet.

No one has any idea?  Because I found these 2 documents: Maintenance and Service Guide (for 260 G3 Desktom Mini)  and Interactive BIOS simulator (for HP ProDesk 260 G3) . But my BIOS v02.13.00 (04/27/2020) looks like as in second link, no first. In the "guide" is chapter 5 and section Advanced - Built-in Device Options - Increase Idle Fan Speed(%) (page 47). Unfortunately for my 4YV64EA#BCM, this option is nowhere...

You can try SpeedFan, shown here.  There are several guides and videos on the web.

This system is feedback driven thru Solution and Kudo flags. It's the only means of knowing if you have been served. Please click Accept as Solution, if your problem is solved. To say THANK YOU, press the "thumbs up symbol" to render a KUDO. You can render both Solution and KUDO..

This app is only for Windows. But i have different solution with Arduino, latching relay and temp. sensore. And I'll control FAN "out-of-box".
