Hey,
I've an HP ENVY Desktop 700-159.
1. Will a 4790k processor fit into the existing socket? PCB details state the existing processor socket is an LGA 1150 which currently cradles the i7 4770 chip.
2. Will I notice a difference in overall performance with the 4790k?
3. Currently, this same computer has 1333 Mhz DDR3 6 GB memory x2 = 12 GB RAM.
If I upgrade to 1600 Mhz DDR 8 GB memory x2 = 16 GB Ram, with the computer utilize the full 1600 Mhz or will I only benefit from the 4 GB's of extra RAM?

Hi:
This discussion regarding a similar model PC with the same motherboard indicates that an i7-4790K should work in your PC but note that the processor will run quite a bit hotter than the i7-4770 and you will have to modify the cooling.
The processor upgrade specs for your PC indicates the i7-4790 would be the supported upgrade according to HP.

Here's a side-by-side comparison of the 3 processors:

That is very unusual for HP to have installed DDR3-1333 MHz memory in your PC when it can run the memory at 1600 MHz.
Installing compatible 2 x 8 GB of DDR3L-1600 memory should run at the full 1600 MHz and in dual channel mode.
