HP Z440 Workstation
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

After a lot of struggle, I succeeded in upgrading 1.2 TPM to 2.O on my old HP Z44O. This was one of the two issues for not being able to install Win11. The other was the CPU.  My CPU is on the compartible CPUs listed(!!?) so what's to problem?

You don't download the ISO file to a USB stick.

You download it to your PC and use the free Rufus utility that I zipped up and attached in that discussion link I posted to transfer the ISO file to a DVD so that it is bootable.

You have to use the version I attached 3.18 because the newer Rufus versions removed the W11 hardware check bypass hack.

Try it again in the morning when you are 'bright eyed and bushy tailed' as we say in the USA.

Hi:

You'd have to show me where it is on Microsoft's list of W11 supported Intel processors, because I don't see it and when doing a 'find on page' search, it returned 0 results.

If you are interested in upgrading your PC to W11, please see the method I have used to in-place upgrade several HP and Dell notebook and desktop PC's to W11 22H2 that don't meet the hardware requirements.

No problem.

As I replied earlier, you can still upgrade your PC to W11 using my easy method to do so if you want.

Just tried, but when the W11 iso file download was running it stopped at 4 G - not enough space, though 32 G on USB stick. (cleaned in command promt before use).  Now it thinks my USB is a DVD and want a disk when pointing place of download! - Going to bed.
