Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)
Hello,

I have a dc7800 (Small Form Factor) which support the Q9550 cpu, but when I put that cpu on the motherboard the cooler started to run very fast and suddenly (around 20 sec) I heard a burst in the power supply !!!! Apparently it's damaged. I had the core 2 duo E6550 which is 65w and worked for me, but the core 2 quad Q9550 is 95w. In the power supply it is noted 240w max.
any suggestion please!!!

Thanks for your reply @.

I found the pdf file bellow that contains specs for the dc7800 and the Q9550 is listed there. Also I found some videos on youtube about using this cpu in the dc7800.
