Hi @Krishankalra

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

Your HP All-in-One 24-dp1790in PC camera and microphone issue can often be resolved by checking drivers, privacy settings, and HP’s built-in tools.

Below are clear, step-by-step troubleshooting methods from HP resources to help restore functionality.

Step 1: Verify Camera & Microphone in Device Manager

  • Press Windows + X → select Device Manager.
  • Expand Cameras and Audio inputs and outputs.
  • Ensure your HP Wide Vision Camera and Integrated Microphone Array are listed.
  • If you see a yellow triangle or error code, right-click → Update driver → choose Search automatically for drivers.

Step 2: Check Windows Privacy Settings

  • Go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Camera.
  • Ensure Camera access is turned On.
  • Scroll down and confirm apps (like Zoom, Teams, HP App) have permission.
  • Repeat for Microphone under Privacy settings.

Step 3: Run HP Diagnose & Fix

  • Open the HP App (formerly HP Smart).
  • Select your PC → choose Diagnose & Fix.
  • Follow the guided steps to automatically detect and repair camera/microphone issues.
  • This tool resolves common driver and configuration problems.

Step 4: Windows Troubleshooter

  • Go to Settings → System → Troubleshoot → Other troubleshooters.
  • Run the Camera and Recording Audio troubleshooters.
  • Apply any recommended fixes.

Step 5: BIOS & Windows Updates

  • Restart your PC and press Esc → F10 to enter BIOS.
  • Ensure the camera is enabled under Advanced → Device Options.
  • In Windows, go to Settings → Windows Update and install all pending updates.
  • Updated firmware and drivers often restore hardware functionality.

  • Check Device Manager for drivers.
  • Enable permissions in Privacy settings.
  • Use HP App → Diagnose & Fix.
  • Run Windows troubleshooters.
  • Update BIOS and Windows.

By following these HP-recommended steps, your camera and microphone should be restored to working condition.

Take care, and have an amazing day!
