Can I add a TPM chip to my motherboard

My BIOS date is August 2015, which is when I bought my computer.  Running tpm.msc shows that TPM is not found.  I have read that TPM chips can be installed on motherboards with the appropriate pins.  Does anyone know if that is possible with my computer?  The computer is fast and works fine.  Would rather not replace it to install Windows 11 -- which requires TPM 2.0.

@Bill_NYC , welcome to the Community.

It may be a bit early to begin adding components to your computer as MS has not settled on the specifications for Win II.  You can check the motherboard to see if there is a TPM header.  This would most likely be found on the bottom of the mobo.  If there is no header you can't add a TPM module.

I am not exactly certain how to identify it.  Normally, HP has the parts of their motherboards labeled.  Otherwise, the only description that I found was it is near the bottom, middle of the board.

I have the same question. 

My computer is a HP ENVY 15 Laptop that uses the 229C 78.21 motherboard.
