Hello,

I want to ask before upgrade my storage to SSD ..

Can I use SSD NVMe M.2 in HP 280 G3 MT desktop?

I am not a HP employee.

 

I don't see NVME SSD support on your system if this is your PC (Link). No M.2 socket on the systemboard.

Yes, that is my PC.. 
I found something like " Orico M.2 NVME to PCI-E 3.0 X4 Expansion Card - PSM2 ".. an adaptor from NVMe to PCI-e..

How if I plugged the SSD NVMe to this adapter first, then plug to my board?
Is there any clue, can I get the expected speed as NVMe SSD offer?

Hi Dqidz,

 

You're very welcome.

 

You can do an expansion card and should get correct speeds.

 

But you will not be able to use the NVME drive to boot to the operating system. The drive will be limited to a data drive. 

 

The motherboard can't see the NVMe drive as a bootable device because there is no baked in M.2 support.
