So, your hard drive is set to boot in IDE mode?
That's the worst performing mode:
There is a way to do it, but it is very complicated depending on what operating system you are running.
It probably would be easier to just back up your files and reinstall Windows with the drive controller set to ACHI.

OK, it won't be so bad with W10 Pro.
You know how to get into the BIOS.
IDE TO AHCI [ WINDOWS 10 ] FAST WAY TO ENABLE AHCI (youtube.com)
This way might be easier, so watch both videos.

Thank you very much for keeping in touch and i have watched the video's from the links you have provided they really helped me thank you very much
Please suggest other settings from bios i can change in order to make my system run better
Currently my specs are
CPU..Q9650 @ 3ghz
RAM..8GB (2gb×4)
Gpu ..NVIDIA GTX1650 4GB low profile
HDD..4TB
MOTHERBOARD...HpCompaq dc7800p
I was planning to upgrade the RAM to aleast 16gb or 32gb ddr 2 modules. I saw some from aliexpress but iam not sure whether they will work or not because some are ECC AND some are written server memory so iam not sure which ones will work

You're very welcome.
Wow...you have the best processor HP offered in the model series.
Mine has the E8300.
There aren't any other BIOS settings you can change to make your PC run better.
Have you looked at the Computer Setup (F10) Utility Guide on the dc7800 support page?
That has all of the settings and what they do.
I think the only changes I made other than to set ACHI mode was to disable the network boot because I never used that feature on my PC since I use it at home.
In a corporate work environment, that setting might be useful.
