I have a question Can my HP ENVY H8-1418 accept 32 GB or MORE of Ram. What is the Maximum Amount i can put in it ? the machine came with 8GB with two spaces available. I did upgrade it with 8 GB more. But it doesnt seem to go any faster, maybe its the brand i bought or something else.
im just curious as to the maximum allowable amount that way i could get it for it. Any knowlegable information would help.
Thanks

Hi:
According to the memory upgrade specs for your PC you can install 4 x 8 GB of memory.
Looking at the hardware specs for that model, it seems to me that 16 GB of memory would be enough to make it run nicely.
You can check the memory speed that came with your PC. The specs state it can take 1333 MHz or 1600 MHz memory.
You would want all of the memory in your PC to be 1600 MHz (PC3-12800).
If any of the memory in your PC is PC3-10600, all the memory will run at the slower 1333 MHz speed.
Maybe there are some running processes you can eliminate at startup, or some programs that you can uninstall that you don't ever use.
