Hello all,

I require a new PSU in my desktop in order to support a GPU which I need for University. I've looked at the various manuals for my machine online, but can't find what standard the PSU is. I have measured the supply and it doesn't appear to be ATX, nor mATX, though I could be wrong.

If anyone would be able to let me know what type of PSU is in my machine, it would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Greetings,

Welcome to the forum.

I am not a HP employee.

You currently have a 180 watt PSU.

I can give you general PSU upgrade information for your PC.

HP is using a proprietary PSU and motherboard in your system. It is not possible to install a retail PSU because your motherboard does not have a industry standard 24 pin motherboard power header.

The best PSU upgrade option at this time is a 400 watt SFF PSU available at HP Part Surfer (Link). This PSU part number is L04618-800.

This PSU may not be what you need; I don't know what GPU you are installing in your PC.

To the best of my knowledge, the 400 watt PSU part (per above) is the highest wattage, and compatible, PSU HP is providing for your product at this time.

Regards

Thank you for your kind response,

It looks like I cant order this part to the UK so I think I'm a bit stuffed in that regard. I'll guess I'll have to do without installing a GPU.

Thanks once again

Hi Athlete29,

You're very welcome.

I am surprised you cannot find this part in the UK.
