Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

I have an Omen 870-1570 with an i7-6700k CPU. Windows 11 doesn't like that processor. What other CPU could I replace mine with? I heard that possibly there's an i8 CPU that might work?

Welcome to our HP community forum!

 

The best processor that is compatible with your OMEN by HP Desktop PC - 870-157c is an i7-6700K.  Your desktop is not compatible with any W11 "approved" processors (8th gen and up) according to Microsoft.

 

However, that shouldn't stop you from upgrading to Windows 11.
