@Paul_Tikkanen,

My friend, the only contribution to this conversation I wanted to make is that since the OP's HP Pavilion 500-539 allows for 95-watt processors, the product specs page doesn't mention the A10-7890K (4-Cores, 4-Threads, 4.10 GHz up to 4.30 GHz, 95-watt TDP).

This processor would actually provide a 9-15% performance improvement (depending on which web reference you consult) over the OP's stock A10-7800.

The A10-7890K is available via eBay, and the least expensive purchase option I could find was $86: https://www.ebay.com/itm/356060571774?_skw=A10-7890K&itmmeta=01JSVY0G9QCY7XWMQ5SQA5G4T2&hash=item52e....

Downside is that I could not find a States-side eBay Seller for this CPU.

Kind Regards,
