AIO Dsktop 27
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have new HP AIO desktop, I5 etc. I am trying to instal my Dell Laser 1320C which worked perfectly well on my previous Win 10 desktop. I am using USB connect.

 

When i content the uSB windows recognises the printer and tells me it is installed, but in the settings the printer shows as greyed out with the message ' Driver is unavailable' and the only option is to delete the printer.

 

When i go to the Dell website and download the 64 bit driver it arrives as a self unzip file which when unzipped goes into the Temp folder but the folder only contains Temp folders and no Exe. I am at a loss as how to get the correct driver installed???

Scroll down to find the "Installation instructions" plus other good information.  There is also the "Drivers help and tutorials" for additional help.

Thank you for taking the time to respond, however I had found the shown fix and it simply doesnt work. THe download file is the same as you get direct from Dell. The instructions are not up to date for the latest Windows version.

When i go into add printer it finds the printer and attempts to instal. It instals but goes into grey with a message saying no print driver and the only option ( left click, right click, you name it ) is delete printer. I cannot find any option to add driver or update driver.

Since the printer is a Dell product and Windows is the most popular OS, try the Dell forum.  I am sure there is more than one person wishing to use that printer on Windows 10.  I found this on the Dell site threads:
