Hi Paul! Thanks for the helpful info. I'll unzip and run it and send you back some screenshots of the results. Just out of curiosity, what do you think of the results of the screenshots I sent? Good, bad, okay? Thanks!

Hi:
The screenshots you posted show that you currently have installed 2 x 8 GB of Samsung DDR4-2666 MHz memory that seems to be working fine.
One has a slightly different part number than the other one.
But it doesn't tell me if the memory is running in dual channel mode or what speed it is actually running at, like the report I posted.

But, curiously enough, Paul, the ram stick I ordered and installed, was a Samsung DDR4-2400, that MS spec sheet calls for. I took out the 4gb stick and replaced it with the new one. And CPU-Z identifies it as DDR4-2666. 🤔Is that unusual or should I be concerned??

According to the report, they sent you the wrong speed...bank error in your favor.
The screenshots both show DDR4-2666 MHz memory.
If they had actually sent you a DDR4-2400 memory chip, the report would have indicated that.
Here is a screenshot of my other PC which is running DDR4-2400 memory...

So, just going by the CPU-Z results... you think the company I ordered the ram from......sent the incorrect ram speed? Wow... funny how things turn out, huh. I'll still download the app you suggested and get the results back to you this evening, okay?

Yes,, they sent you almost the exact same DDR4-2666 memory chip that your PC originally came with.
If you look at the part numbers in your screen shot, I think there is only one character difference.
I think it is a good thing they sent the DDR4-2666 MHz memory instead of the DDR4-2400 memory you ordered, just so it matches up better.
However, when you run the HWINFO report, we will see what speed the DDR4-2666 memory is actually running at.

Hi Paul, it's me again! Well, I ran the HWINFO64 app. Your suspicions were as always "spot on". The new ram Is in fact DDR4-2666. I took screenshots ( as best I could ), so you can check the performance. I took two(2) as to show Ram in slot 0, and Ram in bank 1. I hope you can see them well enough to see what you are looking for. Thanks.

Hi:
Excellent. The memory is running in dual channel mode and faster than I expected.
It is running at 1197.8 MHz x 2 = 2395.6 (2400 MHz).
I wasn't aware that any AMD 'A' series processor ran the memory at greater than 1866 MHz.
So, everything looks great, according to what I can see on the reports.
Now, if you want to test the read/write speed of your Samsung SSD, you can install this free software that I zipped up and attached below.
IMHO, the first line is the most important one (Sequential Read, Sequential Write).
The maximum sequential read/write speeds your Samsung 980 is capable of achieving is 3100 MB/S read and 2600 MB/S, write.
As we had discussed in your other topic regarding the SSD, you can expect yours to perform slower than that, due to the motherboard limitations of the M.2 slot, only using two lanes instead of four.
Based on that, I would expect the report will show you 1600 Read and 1300 write.
Please let us know what the actual results were.
