Hello,

for some unknown reason HP trying to piss off many users with inverted FN keys and I am one of them...

Default FN keys option is set to "multimedia" and I have already tried everything to change it but my problem still persists:

  • There is no option in BIOS to switch FN keys (BIOS 8419 vF.06)
  • There is no FN LOCK function (SHIFT+FN or ESC+FN not working)

How to get rid of this stupid functionality and force F1-F12 keys to work in normal mode (without FN) ?

Thanks

Of course I have searched all possible solutions before. That is why in my post both solutions are described as invalid.

As you can see there is no such option in my BIOS

There seems not to be any solution in this trouble yet.

Can anyone tell how are these wireless mouse and keyboard connected to the mainboard? There is not any external USB or other receiver. Is there an internal receiver, which can be removed and replaced if I buy an other better mouse and keyboard to solve this trouble?
