HP compaq pro 6300 sff
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi.  Does anyone know how to add a SSD m.2 nvme in the pcie x16 for an i7 HP compaq pro 6300 sff?  I'd like to use it as the new boot device.

Microsoft Windows 10 (64-Bit)

Trying to get a Sabrent ROcket Q nvme pcie m.2 2280 ssd 1tb with a Riitop pcie 3.0  4/8/16x to work.  Windows 10 disk management sees it.  I cloned it from a source drive but cant get the BIOs to recognize it.  I cant seem to find an update for the BIOs either.  Appreciate any help.  Thanks.

Hi.

You can use a PCIe M.2 NVME adapter to install a data drive when the motherboard does not support M.2 boot options.

But you will not be able to use this drive as a boot device. The BIOS can't see this drive as a bootable device.

This function does exist when the BIOS and chipset do not support native M.2 boot support.

Regards
