Hi:

I have zipped up and attached the driver file you need below.

Download and unzip the file to its folder.

Do not do anything with the files in the folder.

Go to the device manager.  Click on the PCI Serial Port needing the driver.

Click on the driver tab.  Click on Update driver.

Select the Browse my computer for driver software option, and browse to the driver folder you unzipped.

Make sure the Include Subfolders box is checked, and the driver should install.

Then restart the PC.

Here is a partial copy and paste of the driver setup information file which shows driver support for the hardware ID you posted...

[Intel.NTamd64]
%SRL_DeviceDesc% = ComPort, "PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1E3D&CC_0700"
%SRL_DeviceDesc% = ComPort, "PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1CBD&CC_0700"
%SRL_DeviceDesc% = ComPort, "PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1C3D&CC_0700"
%SRL_DeviceDesc% = ComPort, "PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1DBD&CC_0700"

%SRL_DeviceDesc% = ComPort, "PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_9C3D&CC_0700"

Hi Thanks for the help. I am not totally sure about your solution.. Because at the time I had found and installed an older driver that solved it..... (driver sp69506).... I am not sure how to find back to the troubled and try your solution because it shows none problem now. Perhaps yours is better, and I will certainly keep it in case of problems later.

Thanks for the help

You're very welcome.

It shouldn't matter.

You just installed an older version of the driver.
