Hi there!

A few days ago, I had restart my PC, only for it to come up with a CMOS error, however it went away after a few seconds, which I thought was weird.

In the past days, it has seemed to struggle with bigger tasks such as; running ROBLOX, loading YouTube, and sometimes Facebook videos. Also lags the mouse from time to time

Those are just to name a few, I'm just wondering if the CMOS is toast and needs to be replaced, as that's the only thing I can think of that would be causing issues

Thank you!

PCs generally have fans inside and  intake and exhaust ports. That is how dust gets inside.

I suggest using the HP PC Hardware Diagnostic utility that is available with an F2 keystroke immediately after powering on the PC.

Run the long system test.

If there is a error code produced, provide it in your next reply.

CMOS is a chip that holds the BIOS .ROM file.

Just how close to maximum storage capacity is your PC's hard drive?

It sounds like your CMOS battery is dead and you need to replace it.

Your pc is probably slowing from thermal throttling due to excess heat from dust inside of it.

You might also have unresolved malware.

Office area is regularly dusted, and there are hardly an entry points for dust, but I will look into it
