APU upgrade, Why not provide a service pack to allow the bios to be updated? my current 3000 series is in need of more guts, I am considering a 5000 series processor. I am aware the only economical solution would be to replace the bios chip, I would be changing from tg01-2023w to tg01-2003w (8pin rom chips)

Welcome to the HP support community
I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).
If you are unfamiliar with how the Community's private message capability works, you can learn about that here.
Thank you for visiting the HP Support Community.

While using my Chrome device, noticed I noticed Coreboot, open bios, Linux/BSD bios, and Apple use non-windows bios it all depends on the OS to be used. it is dependent on the instruction set usually x86/x64 or Arm in the future HP used to sell Linux/MS-DOS computers, is resurrection a good alternative ?
