OMEN bv HP Desktop PC - 880-106ngn 6530
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,
I have an OMEN bv HP Desktop PC - 880-106ng with currently 16 GB RAM and would like to upgrade it to 32 GB RAM.
The current configuration looks like this:

Installierter RAM.jpg

I have already tried different RAM modules, but I always get 3 peep tones after botting. 3 x long and 3 times short.

What should I look for when buying the modules?

I have oriented myself to the description of the board. But I do not really understand this.

At the support of HP I get no help. The warranty has expired. Or does anyone have an idea how I can get support from HP even after the warranty period?

Using pair system will normally run using dual channels architecture w/o pair, it will run as single channel. It can run with one slot.

Its specs

           https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c05841743

which says

  • Dual channel (2 DIMMs per channel) memory architecture
  • Four DDR4 UDIMM (288-pin) sockets
  • Supports PC4-19200 (DDR4-2400)
  • Supports 4 GB and 8 GB DDR4 UDIMMs
  • Supports up to 4 GB on 32-bit systems
    note:
32-bit systems cannot address a full 4.0 GB of memory.
  • Supports up to 32 GB (unbuffered) on 64-bit computers

Crucial says it has compatible RAM

Hello banhien,

thank you for the quick reply.
I still have 2 questions:
Can I install the module Crucial 16GB DDR4-2666 UDIMM, CT16G4DFD8266, in addition to the existing modules in slot 3?

Do the slots always have to be equipped in pairs or can one slot remain free?
