GPU upgrade - HP Compaq

I was wondering what Nvidia Graphics cards would work in this system? 

I was told the GT 710 would not work as it requires UEFI which my system does not have 

Could anyone give my like a general idea of what cards WOULD work? 

Seeing as no customer service seems to be able to anwser this question for me

Hi:

A graphics card with similar performance that would work in your PC is the AMD Radeon HD 6450.

You can still buy them new.

A nVidia GT GT210 would work. 

The GT 610 would be preferable, but from what I have been seeing, the prices for the GT 610 are astronomical.

You might be able to find a GT 610 in used but tested and working condition on eBay for a reasonable price.

Would a GT 610 Work with the Motherboard? Seeing as its Non-UEFI?

Yes, the GT 610 is considered a 'legacy' video card.

You can always seek out one of the supported optional video cards HP offered for that model series on eBay,

See page 14.  Unless you want dual monitor support, don't buy any listed as DH (dual head), they use a different DMS-59 output that requires a splitter video cable to run to two monitors.
