I have a question about my graphics card as I would like to upgrade it but don't know if my motherboard will work with it etc, my computer is a pavillion-p6-2494ea. I'm looking at getting a MSI R9 390 gaming 8g graphics card but I'm not sure if it will work or I need to get anything else on the computer for it to handle it, or maybe a different modelof card. As I was told this computer could be constomised and work with most leading graphic card brands back when I got it in 2013 but that was 3 years ago and cards have progressed since then. I 'm a gamer and I'm not sure if this computer is right or if I need to look at getting somthing else. Any advice and suggestions will be greatly appreciated

@MW_H, welcome to the forum.
There are two major things to consider when buying a video card: 1) the length of the card and 2) the wattage required to run it properly.
The measurements of the card in your link are as follows:
| Dimensions | 3.5 inches x 13.75 inches x 10.75 inches |
You should measure the space where the card will be installed from the Back I/O plate to the front of the case. This will allow you to see if it will fit.
The power supply unit (PSU) in the computer is 300W. You should check the manufacturer's website to see how much wattage the card needs to run properly. I like Corsair products. I recommend at least 500W. A modular PSU is very good for a small case. It allows you to use only the cables that are absolutely necessary. This makes better airflow possible which is good in a gaming computer.

You are welcome, @MW_H.
Here is a PSU that should work very nicely for you. Read the Customer Reviews to see what users have to say about it. Also, you should measure the existing PSU and compare them with the one in my link.
