Depending on the card manufacturer there may or may not be a switch for legacy bios (so may also auto detect).
For the particular card i go it was along the top edge of card towards rear.
here is a link for a review of the card (i got), 5 photos down it shows the switch
also here is a link to MSI web site that refers to legacy support (it showed some models to)
http://event.msi.com/2014/vga/Hybrid_BIOS/
Note that is seems limited manufactures still provide this Legacy support, one card i bought should have had switch but did not so there is a chance manufacturer changed design of car and removed switch. it is nor clear if the cad may have provided with an auto detect feature or just no longer supports legacy, but it did not work.
searching i did see information on SAPPHIRE Tech web site indicating some of there card having legacy support but i can not confirm the accuracy of the information.
One reason i went with a 750 card was there was no addition external power connection required.
But as others have said be aware of the return police of the place you buy and the power requirements of the card to make sure your PSU is suitably rated and the length of the card.

This link has a list of compatible GPU with the chicago mother board. Can anyone confirm the compatibility with the gtx 1070?

Sorry cant confirm, i see most (except one) are from Galaxytech may try sending them an e-mail to try to confirm the compatability with the motherboard.
It looks like they have a 15% restocking fee for opened products from their online store.
