HP Pavilion Desktop - TP01-1011na
Microsoft Windows 11

Hi. My current graphics card (NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 1030 (2 GB GDDR5 dedicated))  has developed a fan noise so i am looking on what current graphics cards could replace this without upgrading the power supply or cables. Basically a straight swap with a bit better performance maybe? (and not too expensive)

Any recomendations?

@Pauly213,

Welcome to our HP Community forum!

According to the specs (please verify), your HP Pavilion Desktop - TP01-1011na (1P0J9EA) is fitted with an underwhelming 180-watt power supply, which unfortunately doesn't provide much -if any room for a graphics card upgrade.

Most users upgrade their power supply to either a 310-watt, 400-watt or 500-watt power supply. If you are interested in going that route, let me know.

Kind Regards,

Greetings @Pauly213

Welcome to the HP Forum.

Icecat, at this Link, shows your PC has a 180 watt power supply. And your CPU is an "F" version which means no on board graphics. So your PC needs a discrete graphics card.

A 180 watt power supply severely limits graphics card upgrade options.

This Site has some low power graphics card options. It may be difficult to find a purchase option. Try eBay.

A local PC tech might be able to replace the graphics card fan if the card has a fan bearing problem.

Or you could buy a replacement 1030 at Amazon.

Is this the direct replacement card?

I'm not sure what you mean by "direct replacement card".

Your UK Amazon link shows the same card as my US Amazon link.

The Amazon 1030 is probably not made by the same AIB partner HP sourced from when building your PC.

@Pauly213,

Yes, the link you provided would be a straight GT 1030 replacement.
