What graphics cards will work in my computer with the imp87 board? I don't want to replace the stock 550watt power supply but want to get a graphics card to try to game & boost my performance on this older system. Also what would it take to make this pc compatible with windows 11?

Your HP Pavilion 550-153w Desktop PC (N0A97AA) as fitted with a Memphis2-S motherboard (SSID: 2B2C), would pair well with a Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 (needs one PCIe 8-pin power cable) or an RTX 2070 Super -that is, if your 550-watt power supply has one PCIe 6-pin + one PCIe 8-pin power cables.

The fastest processor that would run on your desktop would be this bad-boy: the i7-4790K (4.00 GHz up to 4.40 GHz, 4-Cores, 8-Threads). Aptly nicknamed the "Devil's Canyon", it is still a lean-mean Gaming processor if paired with sufficient RAM and a higher-end graphics card.

[EDIT:] Always look carefully at a GPU's dimensions (LxWxH) to make sure it fits in your case.

None of the 4th gen Intel processors are on Microsoft's Windows 11 "approved" processor list, but that doesn't mean you can't upgrade to W11. you say the power supply would be 550w
It is visible in your statement

so, has it been replaced at some point, or an error, because if original, well this one, it is indicated 180w

according to several users, it is necessary to replace the power supply
So, unless you replaced it, or bought with a power supply already replaced, the 180w will not be enough, check!

Notwithstanding messages of doom and imminent demise, please take a look at this HP Pavilion Desktop - 550-153w User: HP 550-153w Performance Results - UserBenchmark.

And what do we see: this rig as fitted with a Devil's Canyon CPU, is running A-OK with an RTX 2070 8GB at a whopping 106%.

I rest my case.
