Hi everyone,
I am trying to upgrade the HDD of my HP pavillon All-in-one 24-xa0xxx to a new SSD of 2To to boost the computer. I followed instructions detailled here http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06111214 for the installation of the new device I bought.
The problem is that after installing the new device and starting the computer I am getting error : "boot device not found, Hard disk driver - (3F0)".
Can one help me solve this problem?
Windows operating system is missing ? could it be the problem?
How to solve it?
Thank you all

Hi:
Drives do not come with operating systems installed, so if you did not reinstall Windows on the new drive, that is most likely the problem.
See if your PC is supported by the HP cloud recovery tool, which you can use on another Windows PC running Windows 7 64 bit or newer and a 32 GB USB flash drive, to create a bootable USB recovery drive that will reinstall W10, the drivers and the software that originally came with your PC on the new drive.
Here is an info link for how to use that utility...

@testkos -- (3F0)
The BIOS assigns this code to the SATA device connected to the FIRST SATA socket on the motherboard.
It assigns "3F1" to the SECOND socket, and so on.
So, did you connect the cable from the new SSD to the "3F0" socket?
Enter BIOS SETUP, and change the "boot order" to select the SSD as the first "bootable" device.

Thanks for your answers.
The lack of the operating system was really the issue and I fixed it by following these steps :
- I went back to the website of the manufacturer of my new SSD device (crucial.fr) and I followed the documentation provided and the steps described to clone my old device into the new one (here is the link : https://www.crucial.fr/support/ssd/ssd-install/ssd-install-steps-m2/part-1-prepare). It was simple but time consumming since I had lot of files to clone.
- Once I finished cloning I just replaced the new device and I got my computer as fast as I dreamed it.
thanks for your help
