If you have the microtower then the following will fit

936512-001
Power supply unit 310W EntL SFF Full Range

https://www.google.com/search?q=936512-001

The motherboard is not a standard ATX and I do not believe you can use a standard ATX power supply

Possibly our expert @NonSequitur777 might know of adapters from a standard atx to your motherboard but I am not sure if the case will take an atx supply

Thank you, @BeemerBiker.

@DAVE758, what desktop do you have, an HP 290 G1 MT (Microtower) or an HP 290 G1 SFF (Small Form Factor)?

Please type in System Information in your Windows search bar, and click on the System Information App.  Look to the right of "System Model", "System SKU", "Processor" and "BaseBoard Product", and please provide this information.

Also, what graphics card do you have in mind?

Kind Regards,

@DAVE758,

Then the part number @BeemerBiker provided for the 310 watt power supply is correct. Like I asked, what graphics card upgrade do you have in mind?

Kind Regards,

@DAVE758,

The 310-watt power supply is not easy to locate in the US either, and it is nigh impossible to get technical data on either the 180-watt or the 310-watt power supplies.

So, let's try this.

Please take some close-up pictures of your 180-watt "P2" power connector:

This picture doesn't make it clear to me if this P2 power connector is either a 6-pin or 7-pin, or the exact color positions of the individual power wires.

This will help me to ascertain if there are any other power supplies that could be compatible with your HP 290 G1 MT.

Kind Regards,
