AiOLinux already has drivers for the mPCIe to USB3.0 card... Turned off legacy USB support and when i booted up the laptop USB3.0 was working .... Now for the HP3420 AiO EnergyStar
How to know i have the latest bios rom?
Hp assistant 7.7.34.34 Rev.A looks like the last i guess ...
The rom version just says "Leo_707.rom" ... AND there was nothing that i found relateing to legacy USB support in all the bios screens for Leo_707
Will the rom ## look different with the HP assistant 7.7.34.34A?

Hi kc7noa,
Sorry, there are no official HP BIOS updates for your PC.
I gave you a link to your PC's HP Software and Driver Download site in a previous response.
A BIOS update was never released by HP.

Hi,
You can review version 6 or less BIOS settings at this (Link). Look in BIOS Setup Menu Screens.
There is a USB Legacy Mode Support option in the Advanced Menu.
I don't see how this setting would interfere with adding a USB 3.0 riser card to the MB.
You should be able to have both USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 support with the correct USB 3.0 drivers.

The mPCIe does work and shows USB3.0 in the DELL .
The card also works in the 3420 but no USB3.0 just USB2.0.
After turning off legacy support on the DELL ... was when USB3.0 was avaliable ....
