Hi @mikedh,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be happy to help you!

To turn on the HP 510SP Black Wireless Keyboard and Mouse combo, follow these steps:

1. Insert the Batteries

  • Ensure that both the keyboard and mouse have fresh batteries inserted.
  • The battery compartments are usually located on the underside of the devices. Slide open the battery cover, insert the batteries in the correct orientation, and close the cover.

2. Turn On the Keyboard and Mouse

  • There should be a small power switch on both the keyboard and the mouse.
  • Slide the switch to the "On" position. You may see a small LED light up briefly to indicate that the device is powered on.

3. Connect the USB Receiver

  • The HP 510SP combo comes with a USB receiver that plugs into your computer.
  • Plug this USB receiver into an available USB port on your computer.
  • The devices should automatically pair with the receiver. This process usually takes a few seconds.

4. Wait for Automatic Setup

  • After plugging in the USB receiver, your computer should automatically detect the new devices and install any necessary drivers. You might see a notification indicating that the keyboard and mouse are ready to use.

5. Test the Keyboard and Mouse

  • Try typing on the keyboard and moving the mouse to confirm that both devices are working properly.

If the keyboard and mouse do not respond:

  • Ensure the USB Receiver is Fully Inserted: Make sure the USB receiver is securely plugged into the USB port.
  • Try a Different USB Port: Sometimes, changing the USB port can resolve connection issues.
  • Replace the Batteries: If the devices don't turn on, try replacing the batteries with new ones.

If the problem persists, contact HP phone support for assistance.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance

I don't see a USB receiver in the box that my all-in-one and keyboard and mouse came in.  What do I do?  It would be really helpful if HP products came with a list of items included in the box.
