HP Recommended

I have the HP 970/975 keyboard and the numlock button is replaced by a calculator button, which ok fine. 

Now the keyboard has set numlock and I have been trying to turn numlock on again.

the best solution would be to program this calculator button back to a numlock button.

 

Installing the HP software 970/975 as step one finding how to program the button to numlock turned out a challange too because it isn't in the options.

 

  • What I did was use a macro recorder (or any other way to press numlock once e.g. connect another keyboard or use a screen keyboard). 
  • And I recorded the keyboard macro on the calculator button. While recording I used the macro recorder to play the numlock key once while being recorded by the HP keyboard settings. And then saved it on the hp keyboard settings macro.

 

Now I have a programmed numlock playing every time I press the calculator key. It isn't ideal, but it works.
