Yes, thing is old, but it still runs really great, especially with the Core 2 Q9650 CPU I put in it., and SATAIII SSD in it.
The issue is adding a better Graphics card to it. The best I could find for low power is a nVidia 1650 Ti. Even a 1660 Ti "Mini" requires at least a 450 Watt power supply, and this computer is only 325 watts.
Looking over at HP PartSurfer, I only found the following two which are basically the same thing.
531965-001
581350-001
I am wondering if someone knows of some alternative I could use. I know some other power supplies may not be officially listed, but maybe there are some other HP ones which are similar to the one designed for this tower.
I have also seen online some special adapter cable for ATX to HP. The issue with those is they do not specify that it functions with this computer. With that, I went ahead and ordered one, but dare not use it yet. I do not know the pin configuration for this computer thus dare not until I could find a diagram to know for sure.
Anyone have any suggestions?
Thank you!

Welcome to our peer-to-peer HP Community Forum!
If you bought an ATX power adapter such as this purchase example which specifically mentions your HP Compaq 6000 Pro Microtower: Amazon.com: YEZriler 24 Pin to 6 Pin ATX Power Adapter Sleeved Cable for HP Z200 Z230 4300 6080 8080...:
Then you should be A-OK to go. I have used similar ATX power adapters on a number of legacy HP desktops, and they have all performed just fine. Just watch the dimensions of your ATX power supply for fit inside your case.
Hope this was helpful.

That little jumper cable may not be crucial, sometimes it depends on a particular brand. Like I said, if the ATX power adapter's link/specs specifically mentions your desktop, you should be good. If it doesn't, then yes, perhaps you should buy the adapter I referenced.

It's been a long while since I bough5 the cable, but the description and look actually seems to more resemble this one:
I should probably go ahead and purchase the one you linked.
Though, I did find this diagram of a cable more like the one I have:

If it is the case that your ATX power adapter is catered for the HP Z2xx platforms, then it will not work for your desktop.
Better not try it either, in my opinion.
