Microsoft Windows 11

Hi everyone, I have an HP Compaq Pro 6300 currently running BIOS version v02.98. I am trying to update the BIOS to version v03.08 using the F10 Setup built-in utility (Flash System ROM) with a FAT32 USB drive. However, when selecting the .bin file (K01_0308.bin), I receive the following red error message: "Error: Incompatible ROM Image" I avoided using hpqFlash from Windows to prevent system corruption. Could you please advise if a Bridge BIOS update (such as v03.01) is required first before jumping to v03.08? If so, where can I download the exact intermediate BIOS file or SoftPaq? Thank you!

Hi:

You have to first install BIOS version 02.99 before updating to BIOS version 03.08.

HP Compaq Pro 6300 Small Form Factor PC Software and Driver Details

- Customers MUST flash this BIOS first, before flashing to the v03.xx versions.
- Added enhancement to allow for flashing forward to v03.xx.
- This is the same version as v02.98.
